Touching up clean edges with a diamond stone is a no brainer, but what do you guys do for your skis that get regular rock abuse? Specifically, do you get rid of every little burr? It's nice to have a perfect tune, but that means removing a lot of steel every time. Do you "settle" by getting rid of the biggest burrs and just smooth over the smallest ones, or do you take a panzer file and get rid of everything? Also, how do you deal with damage on the base edge, technically you aren't really supposed to touch the base after the angle has been set but sometimes you have to in order to get rid of the burr. My main concern is, if I go for a perfect tune every time, I'm not going to have any edge left in a couple seasons.
