Ever try tight walking in ski boots?

Toss your skis down, boots too possibly, climb on top of the chair, army style climb that line to a support tower, climb down, walk to skis, ski down, end of movie.  It's your life, why even risk the jump?

I have looked at the cable before, wondering about that. cable can be damn nasty to hold onto. wonder how long ones hands would hold out, maybe 10 or 15 feet? Is there a way to use stuff a skier will have on hand to make a sling over the cable?

you could, but i only use serius liners for gloves, and they have wonderful rubber on them that is quite tacky all the while leaving my digits capable of precision and finely tuned adjustments.  I'm sure I'd be fine.  Not sure about you.  But yes, I certainly would think that cable would be aweful, especially at cold temps on bare hands.

If you have to jump from a ski lift.  Might as well leave the skis on and try to be totally bad ass.  Make sure to drink a Mountain Dew before you take the leap.

EXTREME!!!

If you slung you're ski pole over the cable you could use that to slide down to the nearest tower, and maybe put your feet up too for speed control.
