Marker MX 12.0 Demo Bindings 2009 with old rear entry boots

I havent been sking for awhile and decided to upgrade my gear.

I purchased a k2 with Marker MX 12.0 Demo Bindings 2009. I was wondering if my old rear entry Nortica NM 530 boots will work or do I need to buy new boots?

It depends on what you mean by "work"

They'll mate with the binding, so in principle they can  be used.  But rear entry boots make it impossible to ski with any sense of precision, grace, or competence.  It would be a complete waste of money to upgrade your skis and continue to use that crap.  Boots are the most important piece of gear.

Also, I'm not sure of the age of the  NM 530, but Nordica had a bad run of plastic at one point leading to the "exploding Nordica" phenomena - the plastic would crack separating the sole form the rest of the boot.  If you were lucky it would happen on the walk to the lift, if not it would happen while skiing.  The boot would disintegrate leaving you to walk down the hill in a boot without a sole.

Get new boots.
