Quick help- Look p12 forward pressure

Iv'e searched through every thread I could about these but can't find any info on how to set their forward pressure.  Note i'm talking about the P12 and not the PX12.

I heard somewhere that the heel adjustment screw is supposed to be flush to something (unclear) when the pressure is correct.  Can anybody elaborate on this or tell me what the correct way to tell is?

Thanks

P12, as in real turntable heel? Not Pivot 12? Okay.....

The sharp end of the "thruster", which is the white or yellow wedge directly behind the turntable, should line up between the two dimples when the boot is in place. I guess you know how to adjust the pressure - screw the arms on either side of the heel piece making sure they are equal in length. Only adjust the arms with the boot released from the binding, then insert again to check.

Thanks...These are the bindings:

Are those pivot 12's then?

Yep. There's some naming confusion about what's a P and what's a Pivot ...but what you have there is usually called a Pivot (except that the reissued binding that Look are marketing as the new Pivot is definitely what we tend to call a P - see I said it was confusing),

The Pivot heel is adjusted by turning the black screw at the rear of the heelpiece. You'll notice it sits in a curved recess. When the pressure is correctly adjusted the head of the screw should be flush with the edge of the recess with a boot engaged. Put the boot in, wiggle the heel a couple of times and put your finger on the screw head - you should be able to feel if the screw and the plastic edge are level.

Again - take the boot out before adjusting the pressure and put it in to check.

Thanks.  That sounds like exactly what I was looking for.  Going to the garage right now to set it up :).
