Most of Vt got a little rain. That's a good thing early season. If 15" of powder falls on no base you will go through. A little sleet, rain and soft snow, once it firms up, will make for a firmer more durable base. I hear sleet/rain was some what brief and that it changed back to snow. I think it could be pretty good. Remember too, the woods are not quite ready. The trails will be groomed so any of the crust will be blended. Safest bet is always to go ski it.
I don't think we had rain here near Stowe. Very wet snow, yes. But There's no crust or anything. Right now it's 35 F and snowing. Might get crusty when it freezes, but it looks to cool down slowly and it might perc through.
