How long to drive from Denver to Pagosa Springs

So, I'm flying into Denver on Friday in route to Pagosa Springs.  With the dumpage coming down today thru Wednesday morning, me thinks to roads are going to be baaadd, really baaad.  I arrive in Denver at 10:45am; will hustle out of there and hope to get to the condo in Pagosa Springs no later than 8:00pm.

With the road situation, is this realistic or not?  Anyone have experience with this drive?  I've made the trip up from Albuquerque at least 4 - 5 times - just not from Denver, so if anyone can help set my mind at ease, I'd love to know.

We used to live outside of Alamosa, now in Denver. The good news is you will leave DIA heading south when the am work traffic is past.
I-25 south to Walsenburg the hi-way dept does a good job of keeping that clear. 285 to Pagosa Springs, La Veta pass might slow you down if there is weather. Wolf creek pass will also do the same.
There has been a few storms in the wolf creek area, so were sure you will run into some blowing & snowpack conditions on the passes.
If all goes well you should be able to make it in 5.5-6.5hrs in good winter conditions. If there is weather it's anybodys guess!
I would say it's about 280-290 miles from DIA to Pagosa Springs, most of I 25 is 70mph limit.
Have fun @ Wolf Creek , it was our playground when we went to college & they have been getting the Goods in the past few days!

Thanks Mr. V ... the snow is really dumping on the Wolf right now - possibly 60" accumulation from early this morning thru Wednesday morning.  The conditions ought to be great!
