Atomic WorldCup Ski Choice '09 or '10?

Hi everyone, after a lot of research I decided on Atomic RACE SL series. (FIS approved)

There is a huge discount on the 2009 Race SL D2's right now. So, I would like to ask if there is a big difference between the 2009 and 2010 gears?

08/09 are off msp, and 09/10 are still on.

there were no d2 fis sl's in 2008/2009. the first d2's were shipped this fall these are the 2009/2010 models.

08/09 fis sl = no doubledeck
09/10 fis sl = doubledeck

If you were on the Atomic WC team, yes... (factory skis - new technology for the select few)
Or the demos that went out in March/April, yes... (which are actually 09/10 skis)

But not in the kind of numbers that would end up readily available now at discount prices. If FauxCarnival is getting a good deal on an 08/09 Race SL then it won't be D2 Varioflex, it'll be a conventional ski. A very good one, but not a D2.

Last year's SL12 is still a very good ski.  If you can find a good deal on a pair, pick them up.

If you're offered a pre-season demo version of this years SL D2 at a good price, go right ahead.  They are also very good skis.
