Time to get new Gs ski for Night league season

6;1" (185) Northeast racer looking at Atomic GS 12,  last years Heads igs, and Fischer rc4;s

Anyone skied these and have an opinion

Thanks

RC4s rip

In your case, I would go with Atomic or Fischer. I saw and heard so much bad things about Head (and those were best skis that left Head race department, and were for their top rider, not some normal store skis), so I would avoid them, especially if you can get something better for about same money.
I can't tell difference between Atomic and Fischer, since I'm on Fischer for almost all my life (Fischer World Cup GS and SL at the moment), and I have been skiing other skis way too little to make any real comparison, but I would say for normal people, any of those two (Atomic or Fischer) would do more then good enough.

Unless you have a brand preference, I don't think you will go wrong with any of those choices. I'd buy on price.

would you recommend Rossignol and Elan as well, going on price? just for skiing firm, free-skiing that is, recreational skiing, as Sully says: if you turn where you want, you are a recreational skier. , paid or not.

Ummmmm...................I'm guessing that perhaps you haven't been watching recent W/C results??

FWIW.....we have been actively testing Heads with several 20-30 point racers since the early camps @ Copper and the results have been very positive.

Just Sayin'..................

Thanks everyone -  like what i have read about Fischer and the Atomics and have heard some see saw like comments about the heads - so I would definately have to ski them first.   A friend has been pushing the Volkl Racetigers saying there a little softer and more all round friendly -.......   But I have a pair of 5 stars for that purpose

Thanks

Volkl Racetiger's rip. I've had over half a dozen pairs, and non disappointed me. I have an extra pair, new in wrapper if you are interested.

Elan make good skis but don't get much press in the US, they feel similar to Volkl imo. Maybe also look at Blizzard, people seem to rate their newer race skis highly but I have not tried them.
