Which day for Grand Targhee

I am skiing at Jackson on February 11th,12th, 13th,14th. That is a Thursday-Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday are Presidents Week-end or Martin Luther King Week-end(some holiday)

My plan is to ski 3 days at Jackson and one day at Grand Targhee. If I really hate lift lines would there be a better day to do any of them? Is one of them less busy on a holiday week-end than the other?

I am planning to use the Grand Targhee shuttle which sounds like a good deal. Do I need to make early reservations on that?

I would expect Thursday to be the day with the least traffic. Targhee is a day area for the locals so weekends and holidays will see the most traffic. On the other hand, there's not a lot of population in the area, so crowds hardly ever impact your pleasure at Targhee.

 Thursday sounds good.  The other consideration would be conditions which I, unfortunately, can't predict.  Targhee would be extra great the day of or the day after a storm.  Jackson gets hammered pretty fast, the Ghee can stay untracked much longer.  Also some storm tracks favor Targhee over The Village.  The shuttle is a good idea and I don't believe that the booking is real tight for it.  Call them and make sure, I never ride it.  The bus leaves pretty quick after the lifts close, so it might not be the best fit for someone who wants to Apre at the Trap Bar.

Personally I would choose to ski there on a Saturday as it will have less traffic on a holiday weekend then JH will.  Last year I went there and had no lift lines while JH had 10 minutes lines.  Of course snow conditions/weather would play a role in my decision.  You will love it there though...so enjoy whichever day you go.

Thanks for all the responses. I can't wait for the trip. Will probably do Targhee on Saturday unless weather dictates otherwise. Now I need to see if I need to make a reservation or if I can wait until I get there to check.
