Where all skiers share the same roads and narrow trails, these are the 40 to 80' variety, several ways to make things work really well come to mind   :

You are never the fastest or the slowest skier on the hill, so use some space to incorporate overtaking.

If several skiers are linking tight arcs from edge to edge, no one can ski by, politely or otherwise. , so consider taking half the run for your turns and leave the other half to everyone else.

Passing a snowboarder, don't get me started......have to have a crystal ball.
