Freeride boots for all mountain skiing

I spent many hours over the past few weeks looking for a good fit in a ski boot.  The boot that fits me the best and feels the best is the Atomic FS (which is a freeride, park boot) It has a firm flex of about 100-110 (it is not clear from literature).

I am an expert skier who has been away from the sport for a few years, I am 60, 5'8", 175 and plan on spending 40-50 days on the slopes this winter.

My question:  Is a freeride boot OK for  (an older) all mountain skier?

Thanks in advance.

a boot that fits YOU well is the right boot for you.  your skis will change based on the terrain (powder, race, etc) but the boots will basically be the same...
ignore the marketing, believe the fit and the fitter

so ya,  it is fine.

Thanks for the encouragement on this.  I felt very comfortable with the fitter and how he found this boot for me.

I just wanted another opinion before moving forward.....

OK, I was out on the slopes for the past three days and I am thrilled with the boots.  I am using them with A-Line foot beds, at first I had a little discomfort on on my underfoot but that subsided when I stopped at lunch, took of my boots and re-seated them again.   After the first day I had very good comfort and control on the slopes.

I spent about 4 hours in these boots on Friday,   7 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday and I feel they both my feet and the boots are getting used to each other.   I will update this thread when I spend another 30- 40 hours in them.

In years past, I always had soreness on my calf and pain over my arch, I have none of the pain and soreness at all with these boots.
