Any interest in a pair of 185cm AK Freerace?  Similar dimensions to the Volkl Bridge (132-92-114), but stiffer.  Black suede type top sheets with metal AK logo and red sidewalls. Sweet looking ski. Drilled once for demos and filled.  Edges and bases are in great shape. Looking for $285 plus shipping.

Not sure if you're familiar with AK, but they had quite a following with the King Salmon and the No Ka Oi. Unfortunately, they had US distribution problems and are pretty much a Euro boutique company now.  Built in the same factory as the Euro 183 PM Gear Bros that everyone loves.  Aldo built this ski around the idea of taking a stiff GS ski and widening it so that it performs just as well off-piste.

Still some really nice demos at whiteroom's Skiershop and a few new pairs hanging on the demos for sale wall as well. Get up there and check them out if you can. Great shop, great guy and he will take care of you.

There are some Icelantic Nomads around that price on that wall I think if you are open to something 'different'.

Skiershop was pretty picked when I called them. Nothing in my price range. If anyone has the hookup, holler. I'm also looking for a boot 29- 29.5 with a flex from 100 - 120 for wider feet / large calf muscle.

I have a pair of '09 Fischer Watea 94s, 186cm, that have been skied 3 runs. I don't know your weight and ability but these are very versatile skis. Other than cosmetics the skis are unchanged for 2010.
Read some of the past threads on Epicski for info. Finalists in all magazine reviews since they started building them.
They are mounted with Salomon Sth 12s; with the bindings $425+frt,  w/out $275.
I am moving to the 178cm version due to my light weight.

I'm 5'10 230lb, but I'm looking for a ski 169-179. I like the watea 94, wish it was shorter.

I also have a pair of 177cm Volkl Mantras with Marker 1200 Piston bindings @ $390+frt.
As you probably know they are a great all-mtn ski. They have 10-12 light days on them.
A friend of my, who weighs about 175# felt they were too long for him so he didn't use much. @155#, they also are too long for me.
Dimensions: 131-94-114

There is no way you would want the 178 Watea 94 at your weight and height.  I'm 6' and 185 and sold the 178 because I thought they were too short.  You would have no problems turning the 186 in very tight spaces.  It's really a quick turning ski that behaves like a carving ski at 94 in the waist.
