I need a pair of bindings for my Salomon Lords.

Can anyone help me understand the differences between these two:

Thanks!

Griffon has the newer Marker toe and heel design, light weight, supposedly wider footprint, and much more retention oriented.  Toe only has lateral release, no vertical release, and is very stiff torsionally.  Heel has lots of vertical elasticity, and shorter mounting point.  This binding is good if weight is an issue to you, and if you value retention over release.

12.0 Free has more traditional Marker design,  Toe has lateral and vertical release, with sliding SS AFD, which minimizes friction and accomodates boots toes with wear or that are dirty, more "safety" or release oriented.  Heel is twin cam design with soft step in feature.  Overall this binding is a little heavier in weight.    This binding is good if you value the ultimate in safety and convenience.

Hope that this helps.
