Dynastar Contact 4X4 -Length?

5' 10", 170 lbs.

After protracted dithering, I have finally settled a new set of skis -Dynastar Contact 4X4's.  I demoed a pair at the end of last year, pretty sure it was the 172, but it might have been the 165',  not certain.  Should I go with the 165 or the 172?

An all mountain ski shape with the beef of a race ski; just what I am looking for.  Though, my personal preference would be to just decrease the radius a meter or so.  I figure I can do that by dropping down to the 165, (presuming I demoed the 172) but is that going to be too short of a ski?  I have been on Volkl Supersport Allstars (2005-2006?) in a 167 for the past several seasons and feel that this ski is sized appropriately.  I have  demoed skis before where 2 different sizes practically feel like different models all together, so I would like to hear what others have to say on length before pulling the trigger.

Also, anyone with a line on a good price on a pair from 08'-09', please pass it along.

Thanks,
Chris

What about for someone 5'11" but rather lighter, at 142lb? Reasonably dynamic advanced level skier, with wiry runners' legs. I tried the 4x4s in 172cm last year and loved them but was wondering about whether the 165cm ones would give me a little greater maneuvrability. (I also subsequently hired some Contact 10s from, I think, 2007, which I got on really well with but only tried on-piste because of the conditions).
