Squaw Valley 11/22/09

Went to Squaw today with my 7 yr old. Kind of misty rain in the morning.  Which kept any crowd away.   It seemed like it was more or less people out skiing with their kids of similar age.

The coverage on the Red dog run was hmmm…. rocks with dirty snow.   I think a little more snow making would make it ok.

The coverage was good enough on the Searchlight for me to let her try her  new skis.   She seemed to like them.

It was a nice Daddy Daughter day.  She was so excited to ski, it really made the day fun.

Cool!  I am looking forward to a Daddy Daughter day at Squaw probably this Saturday.  Hopefully they will make some more snow and none of it would melt...

That's great stuff, father - daughter day. A great way to start the season with your daughter enjoying herself and getting to try out her new skis.

Way to go dad! It's great your 7 year old is excited to ski. I'll be there soon with my 6 and 10 yr old girls.
But first, mom and dad are leaving the kids here and going to alta for a few days the week of the 14. Sweet!
Have a great season everyone, the storm doors are open.

Our 4 yrs old is close behind.   She skied full day for the 1st time yesterday, instead of spending part of the day in the lodge.

For us, that was the 1st day the family when to ski area and everyone went skiing all day.

Great pics!  Brining my kids to Tahoe in a month to spend a week with them.  Can't wait to see how much they pick up after 8 straight days of skiing with lessons!

Today was the first day when my 4-year old skied the full day with us, so first full day as a family for us too.  Her 7-year old siste was very proud playing the ski instructor.

That is a pretty fun to watch.  We have been skiing together all week with another family with similar age kids. (At Alpine and Homewood)  It has been great.

But the 7 year old has moved on to "I want to go...",  "I want ski a single diamond run..".   My Wife took the 4 yr old in to get warm, and we took the older kids (5-7) for great run down Gentians yesterday.
