South Lake Tahoe to Jackson Hole driving input

 Hi,
I have cut and pasted google maps driving directions to Jackson, Wy.  I am assuming this is near Jackson Hole Ski area.  I have deleted many of the turns to include just the major sections.  How is this in the winter?  Alternative routes recommended?  Google guesses it at 14 hours 20 minutes.  Sound right?  Advise on what town to look at for lodging 1-3 hours from Jackson Hole based on this route.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Seems OK to me without currently looking at a map.  Lodging 1-3 hours out will be Blackfoot/Pocatello or Idaho Falls.  In bad weather you might consider taking the longer route around Palisades Reservoir through Alpine and up the Snake River Canyon.  This will avoid Pine Creek Pass and Teton Pass, both of which can be closed or scary during storms.
