Kids Ski Free @ Steamboat - Where else?

Thread Starter

I am planning a trip for late December, early January.  I noticed that Steamboat has a program where if you buy 5 or more days for an Adult, you get the same amount of days for your child.  I am wondering who else has something like this?  Here is where I am considering going.

Vail/Beaver Creek
Steamboat
Aspen/Snowmass
Alta/Snowbird

Do any of these others have similiar programs?  Any other places in Colorado or Utah that have programs like these?  Thanks.

Great thread. Thanks.  I'll add to it as I find out more.

BTW: I was amazed to find that it would cost my 4 year old $250 to ski five days at Jackson Hole. Riiiiippppp Oooofffff!

Exactly what I thought when I started to take my 4 year old last year to Red River, NM and it was going to be $123 for that little bitty place.  Imediately moved our trip to Taos where 6 and under are free.

6 and under is free in Aspen.

Kids 4 and under ski free at Keystone.  They also have the "family freedom pack."  For $225, your kids get 4 lessons.  That is actually less than an on mountain day care and the kids have as much fun as you do.

Mad river glen has a program for kids 12 and under to ski free all season.  Parents have to sign kids up by certain date in October and buy a Family Mad Card good for 3 adult tickets at about 45 dollars each.

They'll be getting our business this year, at least partially thanks to that.

They're not free, but Waterville Valley is offering Sunday passes for kids 6-12 for $12 this season. This should be handy for friends with big families coming up to visit us. I think kids up to 5 are free at all times.

If you are flex with your dates and feel like sneaking the kids out of school, you can do really well with the Steamboat deals.  I just booked from Toronto , 7 nights, 2 bed 2 bath condo 200 yeards from gondola, 2 kids fly free, and 2 kids ski free with our 5 day ski pass.  Considering leaving our boards at home and rent , then we get kids rent free as well.  Let it snow !!!

I'm getting free skiing and flights from ATL to Steamboat. It made the decision simple.

It didn't require 5 days. It worked even searching for 4 nights.

I would think twice about skiing with young kids at Keystone even it is free....I found it be much more dangerous than other summit county resorts. Far too many people flying down greens/blues with little regard for slower moving skiers.....personally I would never go back with my young kids it just wasnt fun worrying about them....

We're flying in January from ATL. So it's Delta. I think the deal is also with United and American.

Each kid flys free with any paying adult. It doesn't seem like there's much blackout. The first date I searched for, it worked.

My kids are both under 5 and they ski free.

And since I'm renting skis, their ski rental is free.

All I'm really paying for is ski lessons.

I was considering Deer Valley and Beaver Creek but I begin the vacation up about $900 with this Steamboat deal.

I used the Champagne package deal with also got me 20% off lodging.
