Over 40" of base now and more to come before opening day.  The whole mountain will open up, on and off piste.  No WRODS here!  Puttin' my snows on today.

Was up yesterday. Lots of face shots and no core shots. there will be a brief consolidation event today, turning back to snow by this afternoon, and the possibility of 2 to 3 feet on top of that.

This place needs a "rub it in" icon.

I'm trying to decide whether Baker or Stevens (assuming it opens) is the place to be this weekend.  A great dilemma for mid-November!

In the meantime, I'm shaking my fist at all the people I see on the Stevens webcam.  How dare they be skiing while I'm working?

Indeed. I feel your pain. Especially since I know how bad your weekend sucked...

And Mr. A's too...

Tragic, really...

Me and several buddies will be up there. We are part of the "SnoJoke Ski Club" out of Seattle.

Look for us with our red flags on our poles.

Looks like with all the snow i may be able to skip my rock skis? What do you guys think?

They're reporting a 50" base at the lodge as of today.  You probably will be OK using your good skis.  I will be bringing both types, just in case.

Its more like a 60 inch base now.  Was up doing set up all day and it is DEEP!

However it is VERY SLIDEY.  Ski cuts resulted in lots of big fractures that propagated far, and ran long and fast.  So BE CAREFUL!

Planning a little visit to Baker early next week... If it dumps Sunday / Monday as forecasted, could be EPIC!
There's nothing like November pow now is there?

Yeah, it's supposed to dump RAIN on Sunday and Monday, then go back to snow for the foreseeable future.  This is good news for consolidating the snow pack, but not so good if you're looking to ski on Monday.

It was snowing like gangbusters today.  The snow was great.  These old legs gave out a bit early, though.  I'll have to go back tomorrow to start working them into shape.

rain? oh no. The forecast I saw yesterday had lower freezing levels, they seem to have adjusted them in the wrong direction :(
But they still have a couple of days to adjust them back where they belong... Fingers crossed
