First of all im new to the site and skiing in general. I'm from Louisiana where it "snows" about every 5 years. I'v been skiing for a few years now and I'm to the point where i would like to invest in my own gear, starting with boots. I live in houston and there is only one ski place in town, sun and ski sports. I went in there and tried on a few boots but after reading some of the level of fitting you get at some shops im not sure if the sales guy wasn't just trying to put me in an expensive boot and not be too worried about fit. So my question is should i buy a boot here and hope i get a good fit as possible or wait and get a pair when i go skiing in Breckenridge in Feb? I may or may not buy skis depends how much money i can save cause if i did buy skis it seems like i wouldn't want to wait to buy boots till i get to the mountain. Not sure what i should do.
