Quick Park City/DV reccommendation

Just got the green light for a quick 2 day 3 night in PC before the annual Alta trip.  Ive done the usual searches but would like to get some specific recommendations.

I will be traveling alone w/ skis and meeting a buddy for two days skiing and then up to Alta with another group.  Seems PC is mostly condos?  Since I'm gettin old Id prefer a hotel, where i dont have to schlep the skis onto a shuttle bus each am.  However, open to suggestions for a hotel or even 2 bedroom condo, that's convenient to eating-at least breakfast.

If money were no object id just book the stein /goldener hirsch but i think those are going to run at least 400 a night?  Are there any "affordable" condos at DV that least have a check in so i can ship my skis in advance?

Since I do have to get from the airport to PC and then to alta, i could rent a car and hit a condo on the shuttle route, but I do not want to drive during the PC/DV stay.

Thanks in advance.  Any suggestions appreciated

PC Marriott is ski in/out.....  Not much in DV that "cheap"..... If you have a car -  just stay in town and drive in the morning....

My guess is if you're an Alta type of guy you will not want to ski DV for two days. You don't need a car - just ride the ski bus or use the town lift. If you haven't been to PC before you might enjoy the variety on Main Street. Dinner at RiverHorse highly recomended

PC Marriott is ski in/out? Ski in/out of what? Did they move it since I stayed there last season (and many seasons before that)?

Anyway, bad info here. PC Marriott is in the center of twon surrounded by restaurants, but it's a good 2-3 miles to PC, and more to The Crayons or DV.

You ski in and out of Park City Mountain Resort.  The town lift terminates about 100 feet away.

In any event, to answer the OP's question, it sounds like this will be your first trip to PC, is that right?  Because you can find dozens of "condos" that are hill accessible.  Also, PC and DV all have overnight, complimentary ski storage, and so "schlepping" is not really an issue.  Furthermore, DV has a ski receipt service (complimentary as well) permitting you to have skis shipped directly and ready for you once you arrive (look on their website).

Because you won't be schlepping, I would suggest you not stay at or around Deer Valley, but look for something on or around Main Street.  The transit service is free, fantastic, and will get you anywhere in town fast.  Have fun.

My mistake - Marriott "Mountainside" is ski in/out located in PCMR........  Not Park City Marriott.....

Thanks everyone for the replies. Funny how you get older your thoughts on lodging change....Yes as might be obvious from my post this is a first trip to Park City.

In any event,  Thank you for the Yarrow suggestion,  I had checked it out after doing a search here. Has anyone stayed there recently?  Some of the  of the web comments make it out to be a little scary.  I dont mind spending money but id like to enjoy my digs. I dont get much time away from the family.

RE the marriott, one of the locations (mountainside??) looks excellent but as its a condo/time share type deal, anyone know if are there any services there?  Or is this simply a condo rental?  Silver King looks similar but closer to town

Storing skis at PMCR sounds like the move.  I dont mind a day or two cruising at DV as it will be warm up for Alta anyway.

Thanks again and any further info suggestions are greatly apprecaited.
