Hmm, no * for me? I feel kinda special. was it the arrangement of ribs and potatos from Bubba's or drinking from my ski boot with Clendenin at the Moose that got me "de-asterisked"  :)

must of been the food "art"...   a man should never lose an * for drinking out of a ski boot.

I have always wanted to ski Jackson Hole.  I wonder if I could sell it to my wife as a trip to see my elderly aunt, who just moved to Rexburg, ID (about 2 hours away).  Maybe I could sneak over for 2 days and 1 night.  I know it would be fun.

Ahh, Mike a true artist suffers for his work....we are never appreciated by the masses, I appreciate your understanding and realization of the artistic and creative nature of my work that night.  Of course, if Phil would let me post the picture, we could let the community in on this

If you can't sell it TO the wife, just sell THE wife.....

Can you be a little more clear as to the dates?  I'm not sure what - 24/10 means?
Just guessing, but think that means January 17-24, 2010
post #8 of 180
Put us down! (tentativly, got some scheduling issues to resolve, shouldnt be a problem).  Just gotta work the details of the trip before pulling the trigger.

The Taos pass gives me 50% off on Jackson Hole tickets this season so I was planning to go there for 3-4 days. Now that I know a group of bears will be there I'll try to make it on those days. Stoked!!
Ah so....in that case, I've penciled in a day trip for sure.  Since I'm only 3 hours away, I'll try to time a blizzard rather than commit to a certain day.

I will attempt to make it out for a day or two if flights into JAC are open.  I might need a piece of floor to sleep on though as my nomadic lifestyle continues.

Like Philpug says, we are staying in the town of Jackson at the 49er. The 49er has a dedicated shuttle to and from the mountain, continental breakfast and with great access to Snake River Pub and the BBQ pits. Like Garth's song says " I've got friends in low places". Come meet Finndog for a breakfast burrito at 7 am.

If any groups of 4 want to join in, Jackson Hole Central Reservations offers a "Buy 3, get 4 deal on airfares, rooms and lift tickets. Fireball, Noofus, Lovebug and I teamed up on this deal for some serious airfare discounts. If any of you are interested in getting together, sign into the post and see if a second group could be put together.

Anyone have an extra bed or piece of floor left?  Looks like my company is running vacations odd this year so I'll have an unexpected extra week prior to my Breckenridge trip.  I'll know early December for sure.

cbire880, if you can't get bro'd out check out the hostel...
I certainly will.  I expect I'll be hitting up the Summit County hostels a few times this year as well.

Hello.... new to the forum, but am very much looking forward to my first trip to Jackson.

Unfortunately I can't be there for the gathering.

I'm going from 12/23 to 1/1.  Anyone there over the holidays?

Mm

I am new to Epicski.  How do you post a message to the masses?  I'm looking for some vintage Hexcel & "The Ski" boards to build a chair/bench for an old buddy.  Thanks for the help, if you can.

Try Ski Trucks in Salt Lake City.  They've got piles of that old stuff.

Hmmm... this is the same week as the women's ski camp at JH, which I was thinking of doing anyways, and I can get plane tickets with miles. Anyone have an extra bed? Otherwise I can see about rooming with other camp attendees.

Anyone has a consensus on what city is the easiest to access JAC by air from?  I can do anything in the system, but would like to avoid United and American as they are headaches for catching a ride.  I really wish Frontier did it in the winter.  Right now I'm looking at via Salt Lake or Denver, even though DEN is United.  That way, if I can't get all the way there, I can still ski.

Beats me, I think we all just called the travel agent dude there and he hooked us up with flights...
