Hey Bruno, there are several posts all with in the last few weeks here on the boat that have a ton of great info. Steamboat Powdercats is a fantastic opportunity to ski over in Buffalo Pass (buff pass) in true outback conditions. It really depends on your skill level but they are a class act and do a search here for them. there are several TR's and of course their own website is the best resource.  Apre?  On the mountain, there's Slopeside which is just as it sounds, new ownership this season but great wood oven pizza's and good local brews. Sit outside and watch the mountain. I think the Tugboat is still open, it seems to keep getting extensions. Again, very good local brews, nachos and such. Live bands at night. The Sheraton is more upscale for some decent wines and munchies- excellent chicken Quesedilla's.  the new Steamboat One is opening this season, I am sure it will be very upscale and offer good wines, the GM is from Napa!  Downtown offers several bars all offering apres fair.  I am sure others will chime in as well.

I see you are from Boston? The Steamboat Pub, Lincoln and 11th ( I think) pulls good pints of Guiness!  Great burgers and chile there.

There are plenty of threads for restaurant recs and apres hangouts so won't go into that.

Guided backcountry tours?  Aside from the cat-skiing, not much along these lines.  Rocky Mtn Ventures may do some guiding in the surrounding areas, but not sure the details.  If you have your own gear, there is ample touring in the area, Backdoor Sports will point you in the right direction for this.  As for cat-skiing, just depends on the type of skiing you're looking for... Buff Pass is very mellow, yo-yo type pitches... but great snow most any time of the year.  So if that's your thing, then could be a good time.

Huh?  Steamboat Pub?  You might be thinking Old Town Pub since there is nothing in town named Steamboat Pub, 6th and Lincoln, ditto on their burgers.

It's alright.  Here's a video my buddy put together for a contest after one of our best days two years ago... if you look at his other videos, there's a bunch of other nice Steamboat powder videos on there: www.youtube.com/watch
