Wait until you get there and then you'll understand, that you won't be missing anything.

Be there 4-7, then Flail (area) from 8-12.

Ski the trees and the only time you'll be ill is when you leave the 'boat!

Snow has been pretty good. SB is all trees!!! Getting 5- 10 tonight!! Night life sucks. Some fairly steep trees. Nothing crazy but fun.

If you want cliff's and crazy stuff, head over to the E-face and that area (st. Pats, No names, etc) . You may want to see if you can find someone to show you around. That's where a lot of the Warren Miller stuff has been filmed.

Actually most of the terrain you're seeing in recent WM clips (past 4 Steamboat segments or so) is from Buff Pass with some occasional shots from Fish Creek (and maybe 3rd pitch) mixed in... the last time I saw inbounds footage from the East Face/St Pats/gate D area was from Snowriders II or something, long time ago, it was from a year or two before they put in the Pony Express lift.,, it was a great segment though, one of my favorites.

Yes, yesterday was outrageous, they said 5 fresh, but there was a LOT more up top. That's the good news.

The bad news was that it got quite warm, then cold overnight, and that great stuff got very crusty. Today was in the 40's when I left (for Flail until Friday), and it's supposed to be warm, so you got some of the better stuff.
