Any metal layers in Obsethed or Coomba?

I've decided to get the right bits for mounting this time instead of faking it with a bit from the hardware store.  I'm trying to figure out if I need both the 3.6 mm and the 4.1 mm diameter, which comes down to metal layers.  I am pretty sure neither of these skis have a metal layer, but I'm not completely sure.  Could someone who knows verify for me?  Thanks.

I don't believe they have metal, but have you looked at the mounting specs printed on the ski?  There should be a little drill symbol and the recommended bit size.  I'd use this info regardless of the ski construction.  Some non-metal skis call for the larger bit.

BTW, send a pm to 4cznskier or look for his posts -- he has some bits for sale at a good price, and they are very good bits.

when you are not sure of the ski construction, drill first with the 3.6. if you hit metal, then re drill the holes with the 4.1

Thanks.  Yeah, I saw that in the shop manual.  I guess it can't hurt to have both for future use, anyway.  (Of course, I see different depths in my future too...oh well, they are pretty cheap in the big scheme of things.)
