The Sux better look over their shoulder

At least they got rid of Manny.  That was a great move and suddenly looking even better!

Just in case you chowds didn't notice, the Yankees won the division....again

Sox + Yanks this weekend should be pretty interesting.

This month = depressing. No skiing and the Sox can't buy a win.

Rays are already done pending a massive choke by the Sux.

Oh oh!  Wild card tie with the Rays playing the Yankees for the last two games.  NY is going to rest their arms for the playoffs and not even worry about the Rays until it actually matters.  NY will lie down for the Rays. this week so they won't have to play Boston in the playoffs.

So forget what I've been saying. This year, the wildcard SAVED the races, without it, the stretch run would've been dull.

Rays down 7 in the bottom of the eighth...put 6 on the board in the eight, down to his final strike with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth the pinch hitter goes yard to right field. Tie game. Sox are sweating in a rain delay in Baltimore.

Sox one strike away from guaranteeing at least a playoff...and a double to deep right center. Almost thought it had enough to be a walkoff. Meantime the Rays escape the Yankees threat in the top of the twelfth. Wish I could go to bed, but this is just too captivating.

And the BoSox lose. Now Tampa controls their fate.

And Longoria comes up big again. Sox pull of an epic choke! Sometimes being a fan of the evil empire is fun. devil.gif

Ok that was a fun night of baseball!

It wasn't for me, 162 games of a waste of time.  Let's get a starting pitcher before the deadline, nah, we'll be fine.  NOT!    Yanks fans, gives you a much better appreciation of Mariano Rivera doesn't it?

Looks like the series is shaping up to be very interesting in our household.

CR--- That ain't right....nonono2.gif

A-Roid sucks but Father Time got Derek Jeter. When he was 33 that ball he hit to right in the 8th would have left the yard.

Father Time may have some sway on Jeter, but he still played better than A-Rod and Teixera.

BUMP!devil.gif

Thank you Mrs Gisele Brady for giving everyone valid reason to chastise and ridicule the Patriots. She's asking people to pray for Tom Brady and the Patriots

Gosh, I guess Jesus really was traded to the Patriots from Denver.

And another bump.  Congrats to the Sox for a great season and storming in to the playoffs.  Though I hope the Rays end up with the pennant.

As for Irul&UBlo??

19-6 in two games.  Uehara save, throws what, 12 strikes?!

Ortiz 2 homers against the supposed best Lefty in the AL at 37 years old.

Chowder is the new spinach.

They shouldn't have counted, he has no beard...:p

Seriously though, nice close.  Headed home to nurse some wounds.  Still at least one more game to play.

I have a rehearsal Tuesday night, so Bucholtz needs to wrap it up on Monday.
