I'm debating hitting cannon the day after thanksgiving. I want to go pick up my pass while they are still at early season prices, and I'm pretty sure I have that day off.

i'm hoping to get up to either hunter or windham around turkey day....we'll see if that happens.

You can count me as ready to ski, Jimmy.

I think some already put ski to snow up there in the Canaan Valley. Mountain peaks rival Vermont in elevation there folks.

Skiing in November ? on the East Coast ? ...... Yeahp Every Year..

Yup, if weather and schedules cooperate I'll take advantage of it.

My two year old keeps telling me she wants to go skiing with me on the gondola.  This will be her first year on skis, so gondola ride will be the same as last year...round trip.

...you do realize that this thread was referring to two years ago.  You kind of missed itduck.gif

All set to go for Killington in early Nov.  They have the new catwalk which will allow them to open earlier.  At this point late October doesn't look likely.

Veteran's Day Buzz, for sure.

Just got my new boots fitted today. New poles, new boots, new skis, new goggles...I can't wait. Going out as soon as I can!

I'm thinking that Black Friday somewhere in Southern Vt will be early enough for me. Everyone will be out shopping, and the only thing to worry about is bare spots.

Provided that my foot is healed up that is.

Have had some fine first days at Killington going back many years.  Veteran's day in the Green Mountains, nice.  Warmer temps, spectacular views and a mountain filled with dedicated skiers - it sets the tone for the rest of the season.

I can not wait to do some early season skiing. Anyone know of any ski bus trips or car pools leaving from nj. I am at that age (27) where all my friends are getting married and wussing out on skiing. I am tired of driving up to vt by myself
