C'mon cold..c'mon snow!!!! Sister-in-law is coming 11/19-20 for wife's baby-shower. NEED to get out-of-town:).
Paul Jones I'm not planning November turns in VT but there's a strong possibility SCWVA will call to chase a November storm in Vermont if there's one to chase. We made closing day at Stowe two seasons ago just because and hit Mt. Snow the next day because it was on the way home. Might get some earned turns here in WV in October, it happens more than you'd think.
You can count me as ready to ski, Jimmy.
I think some already put ski to snow up there in the Canaan Valley. Mountain peaks rival Vermont in elevation there folks.
Yup, if weather and schedules cooperate I'll take advantage of it.
My two year old keeps telling me she wants to go skiing with me on the gondola. This will be her first year on skis, so gondola ride will be the same as last year...round trip.
...you do realize that this thread was referring to two years ago. You kind of missed it
All set to go for Killington in early Nov. They have the new catwalk which will allow them to open earlier. At this point late October doesn't look likely.
I'm thinking that Black Friday somewhere in Southern Vt will be early enough for me. Everyone will be out shopping, and the only thing to worry about is bare spots.
Provided that my foot is healed up that is.
Have had some fine first days at Killington going back many years. Veteran's day in the Green Mountains, nice. Warmer temps, spectacular views and a mountain filled with dedicated skiers - it sets the tone for the rest of the season.
Yeah........the cat walk is in peices, but I too am in at K for the season!
did hurricane Irene wreck the cat walk? No lodge at the top either!
DUDE I AM IN!
PJ, let me know when you're heading out, would be great to ski with you again!
I can not wait to do some early season skiing. Anyone know of any ski bus trips or car pools leaving from nj. I am at that age (27) where all my friends are getting married and wussing out on skiing. I am tired of driving up to vt by myself
