Sucess and Feedback

Most of the time as instructors we see the guest for the 1 or 2 hour lesson and shake their hand, Give them some parting tips and never see them again. Often you wonder if the "thanks, you were a good teacher" was real or just them being polite.
After a lesson on Saturday, I guess 2 of my students had seem me "teasing" my brother (who just happened to come up to board with his daughters), between lessons and talked to him at the end of the day (last 2 runs of the day) They approached him, asked him if he was my brother and then told him that they had taken a lesson from me and commented that "He was a good coach/instructor". Success! Yay!!

P.S. The word is Official.. Our whole group passed our Level 1 Exam last week. Still waiting for scores and pins...

Isn'it it amazing that even though we ski for a living it is the positive customer feedback that is the best tip.

Congratulations. You have the natural thirst for knowledge and the joy of teaching that will allow you to become a very good instructor.

Sorry I didn't have the opportunity to try and reach you in Whistler. Thursday we were with friends on Blackcomb and having a good time in teh freshies until the fog came in real thick in the afternoon. And on the Friday, the snow was heavy and my legs were beat after six straight days that it almost wasn't fun.

But I'm looking forward to winter returning to Tahoe.
