I wouldn't call us locals yet but their awesome pass was just too good to pass up and worth risking Fred or that phantom buyer will honor the deal. If I get down at lest 6 times a year that will cost me about $30 a day. I do close to that most years and now the skiing is so cheap we can consider a few overnighter. Laurel will always be my home but I'm not even a local by the local's standards there but they have accepted me because we all (the locals) know that Laurel is the best.
I think the Caps and Pens played once this year. We should see the bulk of the division rivals in the second half of the season. The Pens have been so disappointing that I often forget that the game is televised, well at least 2 times in the past month. It took Crosby killing another coach for the Pens to right themselves but isn't that the hockey way, team plays like crap, fire the coach. I just wish they dumped the GM too.
Wait, this is the Steeler thread, not the hockey thread!
I guess I'm still stoked from my first day out. Seven Springs had two front side intermediate runs Wagner and Stowe plus Fawn and Phillip's beginners but the best snow was in yak-yak glade, blow in with about 2 - 4 inches of natural mixed in, soft, very edgeable and a reason to turn. Blue skies and about 40 degrees rounded out a nice day with daughter and Marcus giving us an all day private, much to our dismay.
