Look to bring back the pivot heel?

Rumors are suggesting it. I have a very reliable inside source that says the pivot heel is back!

Please let this be true. I have always been at a loss for what bindings to buy since the pivot heel became hard to find.

I checked both Dynastar's and Rossi's website and did not find anything yet. Over on Mogulskiing.com there was a link but it does not seem to be working anymore.

It is a 99% done deal. They are promised to be ex factory by later this year and in shops possibly by December or January.

Of course you can currently get the FKS 120 and 155 for significantly less than what the new ones will cost.

This is GREAT news!

Have they "leaked" any pix of the new heel piece? Have they changed the brake so it is a replacable unit available in different widths? Brake width has been the biggest flaw with the FKS 155's. Also wouldn't mind having maybe 20mm of adjustability but DO NOT want a revamped P18 design. The slop that these developed drove me nuts....

As Jim said, it is a done deal. I talked to Rossignol, there are none in the country yet. There will be a Look/Dynastar and Rossi versions

RS, it will be the same tried and true (real turntable) heel (with different brake options, at lease 2 (wide and wider)) so don't expect a huge adjustment range. There will be a 14 and 18 DIN versions.

I am strongly considering putting a pair on some Nordica HR Pro's as my hard snow ski.

How are they different?   It's not like a whole lot of pairs will be available and they will be expensive.  As Jim suggested, your probably better off cruising the ski swaps for old pairs. Apparently your pretty good at that!

I never really like buying bindings used. Even buying skis used is something I avoid.

Very true. The sales plan for these is fairly limited availability, no re-orders and no closeouts. I think that the pricing for the new versions will be somewhere in the $349 range.

I have a limited number right now of FKS 120/155 (race brakes) on our website for $169/$229 (NIB) I'm grabbing one of that batch for my Blizzi Atlas this year.
