What helmets work best with Oakley A-Frames?

Thread Starter
After hitting my head hard a couple of times last winter, I decided it's time to grow up and start skiing in a helmet.

I wear Oakley A-Frame goggles, and want to buy a helmet that works well with them.  i.e. A helmet where the goggles will still be comfortable, and not leave a gap between the top of the goggles and the helmet.

Any suggestions?

Humm, tight fit with goggles and no gap?  That is going to depend as much on the size and shape of your head as it does on the brand and model of helmet you choose.  The only way to get a "perfect fit" is to take your goggles to a shop and try on all the helmets to see.  Even then a bit of tweaking with the additional pads may be helpful.

Unless someone has a head the exact same dimensions and nose location that yours is I think you won't get helpful advice online.  FWIW, my Leedham smashed my goggles down on my nose kinda hard, but I found adding a small layer of foam to the top got it just right.

I have a-frames and a burton/red skycap, think they still make a version of this helmet and the fit is perfect.

The Giro G9 works great with my Oakley A-Frames. No gap between the top of the goggles and the helmet like there was with the Giro Nine.9. My only complaint: the 2 open vents in the back let in cold air. I don't know what Giro was thinking, but I closed them up with duct tape.

The Giro helmets G9, G10, Omen work very well with Oakley A-frames and Crowbars. My kids and I have varying sizes of heads and helmets, but both of those goggle types seem to fit Giro helmets very well.
