I like this comment in the first paragraph of the first link

In no way our we minimizing your on-hill accomplishments by admiring that which lies hidden beneath your cold weather gear.
It is possible to be smart, athletic, accomplished and sexy, eh?

Sarah Burke is gorgeous, I still wonder why Kristi keeps getting coverage with the amout of air brushing she needs for posters and such.

Chile has been getting hammered. I was talking to my friends that are training at El Colorado right now, they had 3' one day and they were expecting another 2'-4' overnight. They were not doing much race training. They had similar experience last year too. Chile gets some big storms it seems like. Watching the US freestyle team free ski in that much powder is pretty crazy. I just hope they take some video of it this year.

Lindsey Dyer... where are you?

I will be over at Colorado at tleast one day. It would be cool to meet some of the US team. Davenport is in portillo. I saw some of his pics on FB, it's deep.

I did a search to see if anyone posted about Sarah Burkes' accident and didn't see a new thread so I thought I'd bump this one that came up in my search.

Sarah Burke had a serious accident while practicing at Park City.

It appears that she was airlifted after a whiplash fall that caused a head injury.

Thoughts and prayers to one of the hottest women on snow.

Heal well Sarah.

Here's a link to the SL Trib article:

Some of the comments under the article mention intubation on the mountain and coma.  Sounds pretty serious.

I was walking down into the Summit ski shop at Whistler a couple of years ago, coming off the hill early due to lousy least-coast like conditions, with my Mythic Riders that had barely been able to hang on to the hard, nasty "snow". Walking up the stairs is a gal with a pair of (maybe) 110's underfoot, and I was about to say "those might be a bit much today", when she looked up and smiled and  I saw it was Sarah. Thankfully I hadn't said anything yet, and just managed to mutter "Hi".

What a gorgeous gal and ripping skier. Hope it all works out for her and Rory. Saw the signs at the base of the lifts early this week telling Bushfield to call patrol. Bummer to find out the reason.
