- how is his 5k bike has 105 triple on it
- the fixie geared rider
- the fixed gear riders handlebars WTF?
- the pump girls especially the one far right lol

Did you notice his gaperific pedals?

I think he rides two different bikes in the video too.

Yeah, I need a pump girl.

How old is that R5000?

A blue and green one. my vote goes for the pump girl on the right as well, good cadence.... :)

The green one is a cheapo Tirreno as sold by Poufromance/Gnashbar.

The blue one is a C'dale R5000 with a hollow-pin chain, but it really didn't look like a 10speed.

How'dya like the white bobby sox with the black mock-DPs and retro jersey look?

I actually saw a normal looking guy yesterday, helmet, dress shirt, slacks riding a fixie with bars very similar to the ones in the video. Fool wants to be cool, enjoying his ride, whatever. I'm glad he wasn't going the same way I was.

Messengeritis killed itself*, everyone's got hardcourt bikepolo**itis now.

* predictably
** for which those bars make complete sense

On the roadie forums, they're ragging on the guy for:

- riding a triple
- the aluminum frame
- shorts instead of bibs
- Australian team shirt with a zipper that doesn't go down far enough

those sorts of sense of humor failure are one of the reasons i don't bother with roadie forums

this is exactly the reason that its so funny!!!! cause their are roadies that take themselves that seriously.

Thanks for sharing Bush! Loved the video, regardless of the equipment nit-picking. I just wish I could borrow the guy's body for my personal cycling. To be young and fit again!

Equipment nit-picking exists in the Epic gear forums, so, not surprised that biking sites raise all the issues. My new Al frame is a lot faster than the guy who powers it.

My sweet all-black R600 is from 2001, I've got the same frame/fork/stem setup...I'd wager his is newer, though.

The pump girls were definitely the best! Hipster-boy's moustache was quite a feat, too. Rivals some of the monsters I meet going over the Manhattan Bridge. (Don't even think about biking over the Brooklyn Bridge...it's great to do once, but after that the only reason anyone in their right mind rides over that instead of the Manhattan is to be an a**hole and yell at and nearly run over spacey tourists who don't know better than not to walk in the bike lane)
