Stupid Question - Members' List?

I must be blind (or non-techno-savvy), but I don't know where to find the members list.
There used to be an alphabetical list of every registered member, with posts and threads and so on.
Is it still here somewhere?

At the bottom of the page, in the blue field is a list of members currently online.  That list is presented alphabetically and will give you access to profile information.  As far as I know, there is no function that gives you the entire member list.  We can access that report in the Admin area, but the default order is from newest to oldest.  So even for moderators and admin, the function is not very useful.

What value does a member listing beyond the active members have for you?

Well, I used to try and see who was from my area.

I wanted to look up some members whose posts I value, and see if those people had been active recently.  Then I'd check out those threads and read what they were addressing.  If nothing was recent, I might go back to stuff from the past.  For me the new posts are not particularly interesting right now.  I was also interested in knowing if some of the people I used to enjoy reading were still active on this forum.

Oh, you can look them up and identify them as people whose posts you want to follow.  Later when you go to your Home page and click on the Barking Bears tab, those peoples' most recent posts will be listed.  Essentially, you'll be "stalking" them.

To do this, go to their profile and click on Subscribe.  I do this to two members I like.

Good answer.  Any member can be found if you know their user name by going to the address: http://www.epicski.com/user/USERNAME (substitute the members name at the end of that address).  If this is a feature we need, there is no harm putting it on the list, but there are a bunch of features ahead of it. in priority.

Sibhusky is right, you can subscribe to other members and have their posts show up on your home page.  For some unknown reason, I have two people subscribed to me.   I haven't hardly had hardly anything to say for a year now.

There is a message at the bottom of your profile under Activity
You currently have two (2) other users subscribed to your activity feed.

I think looking up people is only possible if these people are currently online.  At least that's the only list I can find when I go to the bottom of the page to the blue section, and click on "675 Active Users."

No, if you know the name you just search on the name and it'll come up.  I think there is a tab called User and you can bring up the profile.
