Hey, I'm new here. This is my 1st post
I was down in Bariloche last week. It was pretty cold, if youv'e never been there the views of the lakes are incredible. Easily up there with Tahoe. Food in town was excellent, try El Boliche de Alberto. Hotels were ok and priced reasonably. I used Blest tours which did a good job. I also have a good travel agent in Buenos Aires if you need one
Down side is they have NO snow making which was pretty dissappointing. Plenty of ice, rocks, dirt, and shrubs poking through. I'd definately suggest a helmet and some pads. There was Plenty of ice so I made lemonade out of lemons and worked on my ice skiing. Lots of fun trails.
There were at least 1,000 people on the mountain and Plenty of traffic
If you are heading down there if you are a strong skiier and dont like lines and traffic I'd suggest you stick to the South side which is almost empty but is a lot of fun and a lot of work. Remember again it is pretty vertical and covered in ice
