you have to go back a few in this thread. Bonnis first problem was after a 'forced' install of ie8, whcih I removed. she still has issues and the platform is Vista Home running IE7.
Now my editorial jab.
we are now close to 6 months into this change and still have issues like this on an ongoing basis and with different folks at different times---- IE: issues running the popular browsers and op systems that are very often included in off the shelf computers today.
It is all well and good to have folks respond--"Why are you using Microsoft products when XXXXXX Is soo much better (you insert your own favorite brand of browser and op sys) You should use this browser or that op sytem".
I say fix the darn forum software so that the functionality is there for the stuff that comes on MOST new or newer equipment---if that happens to ibnclude Vista (bad as it is) and IE 7---darn it--- then it (the forum software) should work flawlessly without fail. And it should work that way YESTERDAY and it ought to work the same TODAY as it did last week and next month.
I see it as an issue wuth the sopftweare when you have to restrict HOW to use the controls on the browser---like some folks have mentioned that "cntrl combos" don;t work as planned --- i don;t use them---so I am spared the frustration ---but those OUGHT to work if it is a common browser don;t you think??
Why is that so difficult to do??
