Can't post a new thread in the bug forum and other oddities

I occasionally get logged out. Just now I was reading a post in the Supporters Lounge then went to another thread and got logged out. Why does spell check occasionally underline mistakes with red lines but usually doesn't until I request a spell check? I went to post this in the appropriate forum but when I tried to start a new thread, my screen blinked but nothing else happened, same display of lists of threads.

Windows XP all updates, Firefox 3.0.11

I've been getting logged out while trying to reply also. I don't say anything anymore cause they'll just tell us we should all have Apple computers cause HP and windows suck. (yuppyville)

Well I'm sorry. this Epic Ski should run as smooth as the old one and it's not my program or my system or my HP.

it's you guys.

hehehehe

It's starting again, quick, you better quell the dissent of the masses...

Also, i am having the same spell check issue as LHC. Can you also make whatever spell check we end up using (hint: internal browser) work within the Thread Title field?

Windows Vista x64 w/ Firefox 3.0.11

I am guessing it has something to do with the work that's going on in the background. That's why we have a "beta" on the site--it's still becoming what it will be. We appreciate your patience as we evolve.

(You'll see some great changes with this push--a lot of what y'all have been asking for comes today--not everything, but I believe that even Lars will be pleased.)

Just to be clear, I'm only reporting some minor bugs. Although I have been know to foment revolution in my misspent but richly enjoyed youth this is not the case. After I got over my senior crotchetiness with the change to a new platform (like how to make the text larger) I'm OK with the site and I like the ease in posting photos. I still wish there was a drop box at the end of the thread to navigate to different forums.

I'm sorry the site's been giving you trouble.  If you can provide specific times, or a list of steps that can be used to reliably reproduce the issue, that should greatly help us track it down.

You be pleased to learn that both Ted and I do all our development in the office on Dells running Windows XP

There's only one mac in the office, and it's not a developer's.

The new thread button in the Bug Report forum is now working for me. The spell error highlight (red line) never is consistent no matter the forum. Often I'm deep into composing my post before a mistake is underlined yet previous mistakes are not flagged until I run the spell check. Usually no mistakes are highlighted and I know there are mistakes. I dunno how to tell you to reproduce it except to say misspell lots of words and see what happens.I bet there is a conflict between your spell check and Firefox.

As for getting logged out, yesterday was the first time I got logged out when I was already in the Lounge and I tried to jump to another thread. Usually I'm logged out when I first open the Epic home page and I'm looking at the generic page, not my personal page. I never deleted cookies or unchecked the 'remember me' box. It just happens.

Ha, just now I used spell check and sure 'nuff there were mistakes that were not highlighted. I corrected one and left the other. When one was corrected the other was then highlighted. The only other information I can give you is that when I reply to a topic I usually use the reply button at the bottom of the page, not the one at the end of a previous reply.
