You don't HAVE an argument, Gonzo. You are simply argumentative and an annoying distraction to the SUBSTANCE that is being discussed in this thread, which arguably has attracted more attention than any one in recent memory, other than the one that initiated this dialogue, which you persist in dragging into a discussion that someone might conceivably win.
Did you get sucked into David's metaphor about gladiators or something? You have your money on Bob, is that it?
I've had enough of your unbaked opinions, and judging from the number of PMs I have received from others, I am not alone in wishing that you would take your dead horse and give it a funeral like any self-respecting Montana boy.

I'm not on anyone's side here. I just think this thread is an example of Epicski at its worst. A simple concept is debated and stretched to the extreme - causing massive confusion. Skiing is way more simple than this forum makes it out to be.
After all DavidM's rambling, I want to see his theory applied in some practical way. I'll repeat my previous statement.
"Probably what upsets me the most is that DavidM completely failed to apply his findings to any practical matter that could benefit readers. If current boots are essentially too restrictive or fail your personal test of ergonomics, what would you change? You mentioned setting up WorldCuppers and your wife with effective setups, what exactly are they? What boots(if any) do you recommend? What modifications are you making for performance increases?"
If DavidM can effectively answer my questions there, I'll take back what I've said. Otherwise, what the hell is the point of all this? I thought the other thread was heading toward some instructional point on balance, but that never happened. Instead of a useful tip on how to improve my balance at the neuromuscular level, I got a longwinded anatomy lesson. I thought this thread would move toward a theory regarding boot modification or improved ergonomics - that clearly hasn't happened as well.
In the back of my mind, both of these threads feel like giant trolls to me. I'm half expecting DavidM to post a simple "gotcha" in the next few days.

MD, I keep trying to measure my intellectual horsepower, but I think mine is more like intellectual slugpower or snailpower. At that point, using the term "intellectual" seems oxymoronic.
As to being disgusting, I think I might have you beat there. Ask nolo!
heh heh heh heh
