Breck and Copper, from Space!

Here's a photo of Breck and Copper taken by NASA from space. Copper is at the top, Breck is at the bottom. Very cool!

The treeless peaks look like clouds.

This one is Wintertime on the Great Lakes......it looks cold.....it feels cold.

It's from a collection assembled by NASA's Earth Observatory. This pic and others appeared in a blog from the Denver Post. You can see more here. It's pretty incredible stuff.

Thanks. I work on space based remote sensors but sometinmes I never get to see the end result. I worked on 3 of the 5 instruments now installed on Hubble Space Telescope and also the COSTAR instrument that fixed Huble back in the early 90's (removed on this mission to make room for the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph). We are all keeping our fingers crossed that the ongoing mission is a success and the crew returns safely.
