The medium must reflect the time and encourage the message to flow. In this board and every board out there, the number of lurkers way out number the posters. In that lurker pool, there're seas of knowledge they never get to share. Wisdom we never get to hear.
But for advertisers, they don't care about the poster or their messages, they only care about the lurker and their money. The new forum isn't about encouraging more substantial messages. It makes room for advertisement while taking away many feature that made the previous forum easy to use that could encourage lurkers into posters.
With that kind of medium, the message will follow the same route.
