What do you dislike about skiing?

We all know that you love skiing...why else would you be here.   But there must be something that you hate about it or at least feel that things could be improved and or made more skier freindly...I know I have a few such gripes.   Lets hear yours.

My dislikes have to do with lines:

Liftlines

Straightliners

Looking at the ski slopes....................................................................................in the summer.   It's downright depressing.

snowboarders laying around in all of the wrong places.

My daily mantra:

What is the worst thing about skiing?  Ski boots.

What is the best thing about skiing?  Taking them off.

I have friends who are surfers, they travel to cool tropical places that cost next to nothing. I have a friend who spent 6 months in Indonesia on $1000... said he lived like a king. All you need is surf trunks and a pair of sandles. I wish ski travel were so easy (and cheap).

So I 'dislike' the expense and gear requirements.

The food usually sucks and is always over priced.  I'm a big fan of brown bag in the truck when I can get a good parking spot, but will do picnic area if not.

The drive.  I live in Denver, 'nough said.

Nothing....I like everything about skiing until my biking obsession takes over in the springtime and then I want the snow melted and warm weather fast

The only thing I can think of is the end of the season......

Yeah, I'm with Finndog.  I'd prefer a six month season (lift-served).

It almost doesn't seem right to talk about dislikes when there's so much that's great about skiing and it brings smiles to so many peoples' faces.  I do have a few dislikes, but they're really about either Mother Nature or people "misbehaving" rather than about skiing:

heavy noncrystalline precipitation, closing day, boarders sprawled on the snow in low visibility areas gossiping on their cell phones, reckless skiing and riding, other responsibility code violators.

I actually really hate the cold, but I put up with it because I love to ski. I know, I know -- dress for it. Which I do. Still, it'd be great to ski at like 80 degrees.

Actually, worse than the cold is the wind. And the wind and cold together really suck.

OK then add cell phones and blackberrys on the lift to my list of pet peaves.

Nothing.

OK, well maybe those days when I am stuck in the office and it is nukin' up LCC.

Skiers that stand around blocking trails and lift exit ramps

Skiers that complain about powder

I let my tasks around home slide somewhat during the ski season.

I also tend to think about skiing while I'm at work instead of concentrating on my job  .

The cost and my proximity to it.

Bringing World Cup caliber ski equipment and service to all skiers - from pro ski racers to everyday all mountain skiers and into the...
