OK. So I've read about making a hotbox and the pro's and con's. What I'm not sure about is what the hot box is supposed to be doing. Is it supposed to keep the wax in an almost liquid state, just prevent it from hardening or something else. It seems that from the temps a few are stating, that the wax would be in a liquid state; almost as hot as the iron was to melt it.
The reason I'm asking is because if I'm going to make one, I want to make sure I'm designing with the correct goal in mind. I would also, if possible, bring in some "green" techniques - solar power? Maybe I can't but I would like to ponder it for a bit.
