I have been skiing in a pair of Dalbello Kryptons for 3 years now and they need to be replaced. I have completely out-skied them and the flex is way too soft for someone of my ability and size. Another issue with the boot is that I never got a custom liner for it and I struggle to keep shin pressure because of my foot/ankle positioning. I don't want to invest any more in the boot and would rather just upgrade the boot and then get additional custom work done to it.
There are a ton of late-season deals out there on boots and I would like to purchase some. I know there is no better way to find boots then to try them on in person, but the deals right now are incredible. I live in NYC so it isn't the easiest thing for me to stumble into a ski shop with an entire selection of boots along with an expert bootfitter. Should I pick up a pair of boots now (like Lange Comp Pros or the Krypton Il Moros) and then hope a bootfitter can make them work next winter, or should I just wait until next season and do things the right way?
