Hey, try not to be so happy -- some of us have to go to work today!

MWPete, you're close enough that you could actually take an impulsive trip and meet up with the Pugs on their trip.

Okay, meet ups. I'm thinking 9:30 (to give time for things to soften up) and 12:00 at the Exhibition lift.  Obviously, if people want to start skiing earlier they can, just gather up at those times.  Sound good?

Too bad I won't be able to make it. Have fun!

Talbot, I hope you are getting better, see you next season at Taos!

This works for me...I will likely arrive about 9:15 Friday and take a warm-up lap.  I'm 6' 3", black helmet and will likely be on my mostly black Dynastar C-10s with tan pants (w/ thin purple strips).

We will be there May 13-20 and could meet anyone who is still around on May 14-17.  Some business after that makes skiing possible but scheduling very difficult.

Anyone who is still around to ski on the 14th thru 17th, and would like to take some runs, let me know.

I'll be in my ice blue pants and black helmet with a sticker that says "I might like you better if we ski together" on it.  Jacket yet to be determined but likely key lime green.  On my Rossi Attraxion Vs.  I have to run to Copper first to turn in coaching equipment so while I plan to make the first meet up if I get delayed (read lazy leaving the house) I'll be around skiing and at the later meet up.

I'll be wearing goggles, high heel shoes, and possibly a short miniskirt.

Actually my wife and I used to do that, but now that we are parents it is a little different. My Breck season pass is good at A-basin.  Not quite sure why -- A-Basin was part of the Vail Resorts empire at one time, but then there was something about a monopoly and they had to get rid of it, but for some reason their passes are still good there.

Do you really think the goggles are necessary?

This last February I joined in with the group at Jackson..........wow, what a bunch of great people!!! I think I'll bring the family in on this one and join you on Sunday.

OK, here is the real story.....my wife just got a new pair of Volkl Attiva Fuegos in the mail. She was jazzed and giggled for over an hour. She wouldn't let me put them in the shop.....they had to sit in the kitchen so, " I can walk by and look at them all day"....she says. Then a couple hours later she started to get grumpy, snippy and darnright difficult. "What's your problem" says I, ready to block anything that could be thrown. "Well", she says in a huff, " I can't use my new skis until next December!!!" I saw this thread and knew I had the answer.......ROAD TRIP!!!!! So for my piece of mind for the entire summer we WILL be there come hell or high water.

One small glitch. The bindings are not on the skis. They have the Marker/Volkl binging system where they just slide into some slots.....no drilling. Is there going to be a shop open where we can get the darn things mounted early on Sunday morning? Does A-basin have a decent shop. I can actually put the bindings on, I really just need someone to set the correct release on the bindings.

I am really looking forward to meeting more Bears!!!

Count me in for Friday morning. Looking forward to meeting a number of the Bears listed to attend. Trekchick, sorry you and your crew can not make this gathering.James.

It is tempting, but being a good son, son-in-law, and husband I have 3 mother's day celebrations, one school carnival, and one social studies project with my son -- but I'm not complaining - it's all fun .

I just need to move the family 600 miles west! Believe me, we have scoured the Breck area. I was surprised at all of the homes tucked into the woods everywhere - way more than you can see from the highway.  Still pretty pricey though -- a deed restricted home in the "locals" neighborhood of Wellington still pushes $500,000 (and they are super small)! To get something comparable to what we have now is 4 times the cost of a home here. I need all of that room for my ski collections!!

The shop at Abasin is affordable and fast.  You'll be well served to have the bindings set by them.

Have fun!!

James, you'll have fun skiing with this gang, I assure you!  But, when you see Phil, you need to make sure to "ski 'em like you stole 'em!!"

His son is on the 888's as well. ;)

Let's plan on it. I will be on call on Sunday, so I won't be up there early, but I will make it by mid morning. I will pm my cell phone to you (I think that Weems may have it, too).

Not sure of the history, but I recalling hearing that Vail R owns 49% of A-Basin...Don't know too many people around here with a Breck (& A-B) only pass- I would think that you might have the Summit Pass (called the 3 pass by many locals) or CO Pass (5 pass) which was also good at Keystone and (10 days Vail/BC in the case of the 5 pass).

Glad to hear it will be a fun group...I'm guessing that James will be on his Atomics, at least in the morning...Matt

I have the pass which is also good at Keystone and 10 days at Vail/Beaver Creek. I guess I call it my Breck pass since that is where I use it most.

Looks great guys.  Our Mom requested the Theme-park outside of Charlotte this year so we're settling for that. I'd prefer what you're doing but am outvoted three to one.

Looks like hero snow and slush bumps for you folks.  Be sure to post the pictures so we can be extra jealous Monday.

No reports yet?  Looked like Friday and Saturday were good spring skiing, how was the 3 inches today?    Too much fun at the barbie last night to post anything?  Happy Mother's Day.
