Cant make it mothers day, Mom would kill me but Me and Ragin are thinking about the next week afterwards.
I can't make it mothers day either, but I do have reservatations already for Memorial Day. Not sure what kind of conditions I'll have but it will be fun at any rate. I can't ski I'll have to do all the rest of the tourist stuff I never have time to do when on ski trips.
Some teaser pics from the TR last year.......
This may be posted elsewhere, but the '09-10 $279 A-Basin only & $339 bonus pass (5 days at Keystone/Breck w/ 1 of those at Vail/BC) include the rest of this season as well as unlimited use next season.
My ski buddy who I was going to make the drive with got injured this weeked and is walking around in crutches. I think it's now highly doubtful that I make it there. At least it will save me from some cornice dropping embarrassement
I vote you still come and bring me some Albuquerque Tortilla Company tortillas please. Pretty please? With a cherry on top?
Fixed it for ya.
I am afraid that if I do that they will all be gone before I get to Summit County.
Hehe, they're good that way too but d*mn, good tortillas can be eaten plan with nothing on 'em. I can get green chile (friend's dad runs the Chile Pepper Institute at NMSU) but good tortillas are tough. An ex-boyfriend's mom spoiled me in college.
Saturday. I'm not staying in the mountains so I won't come up Friday after work just for a party and then drive back down. I will stay Saturday after skiing to enjoy the company then drive down.
I plan to head over for a bit today and will post a report later...Website says 89% open with PP & spring condtions. Forecast is for some chance of snow (or even rain) most days the rest of the week, but doesn't look like much accumulation expected.
Mmmm. Warm tortillas (corn, natch) slathered with butter ... my favorite snack.
i wanna go too !
my mom would be okay, but it took me many years to get past my sister for the top spot in the offspring rankings; i'm not giving that back for anything less than a weekend with 2 super models.
Enjoyed very nice spring conditions today skiing with a few Bears from about 9:30 to 1:30. Snow varied by exposure, but it was as expected- firm but very skiable on pisted in the a.m., much softer as the sun took over. Not a cloud in the sky, but a light wind on the backside kept it firmer there when we went mid morning (and kept you from over heating). We thought the best snow was the upper half of the front side, but exposure made a big difference.
Switched from my 72 mm waisted Dynastar C-10s to my 96 mm Fischer Misfits in the afternoon, but could easily has stayed with the C-10s. Only my 3rd day on this ski, but I like them so far.
Very few skiers early, but the lower parking lot was full when I left.
Hey alta 6 inquiring minds want to know, I didn't see the crazy blue Langes on your feet in the earlier pics taken. You looked awful good in the pics.
New boots in 09?
Glad to see people still hanging in there and skiing still.
Why not come out and play with us! It is amazing how cheap you can fly to Denver and rent a car (9bucks) a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I changed boots I am now on Nordica Enforcer not quite as powerful
as the Langes, but I can use them all day and still feel my toes. Sorry I didn't see you at 7springs
Hey Phil, did you solidify plans for steak/beer? Looking forward to seeing you again finally meeting Lola!
