Killer Week At Big Sky - March 30, 2009 Video

Spring is not showing up, and the snow keeps flying. This was one of the best snow weeks our family has had in years at BS and MLB (we go for one week each season). Here's a video of the best day when the sun came out...

Lonepeak.  ESA BigSky was going on from March 29-April 2nd.  It was/is off the hook.  I'm still around, along with a few other bears, taking advantage of the great snow conditions.

Thanks for the stoke video

What a great time it was. I've never skied so much snow for so many days outside of heliskiing.

The steep tree runs are also honorable and worth mention: Colter's Hell, Wounded Knee, Stump Farm, and Bacon Rind to name four outstanding runs below the bowls that were great fun to ride when visibility was sketchy.

You know, I didn't even make it to the tree runs like stump farm (usually do). I kind of got stuck in a rut - on that sunny day we skied the bowl non stop that morning after it opened, then hit the tram in the pm. Ditto for Friday - first trip  to challenger for the week and kept doing runs there as it was so great. We even skied 6" of untracked powder on the bunny runs of southern comfort Tuesday morning. I'm in Coeur D'Alene now heading back home to Seattle for work on Monday - that's a drag, but it was a ski week we won't soon forget!

On Sunday, we hit Bears Lair and Snake Pit, which were unbelievable!  I'd have liked to take those again later in the week but we kept finding other sweet places to find our Grins
