Bluebird day of steep and deep....
Another great shot. I would put it in the top nominations.
It must have been a great trip
Wow, the pics above are tremendous...spectacularly colorful gear too, and the kids pics are too endearing.
In any event, here are a few of my son at lech-zurs last week (we decided to go there courtesy of many of whom several on epic ski gave us stellar counsel and clinched the decision for us, he is 6 years old now) :
Contemplating the line at the Black run at Zurs...no turning back for this kiddo!
The Run at Zurs begins.
Carving down the Black at full tilt
Its pretty steep!
He competed and finished his first slalom race in his life, came 10th out of a field of 30 odd kids, good for him to see kids who are such good skiiers, though it was sad to watch the tears of the many really good kids who wiped out on their way down...cest la vie with children.
and finally, self-initiated javelin turns on relatively steep slopes, Dad can't do these yet! He i think has seen these on a video, but regardless a joy to behold as he unleashed a few of these
Enjoy and have a fine day all
Here's my attempt at jumping off the catwalk at Crested Butte. Mar 3 09
It snowed for a few minutes on Mar 2nd
Oh well, sorry the pictures can't be seen, I hate this new site...
Just click that yellow square with the mountain and sun on it in the editor. Then click the tab "Existing Image". It will prompt you fro the url of an image. You can also upload from your computer with the "Upload Image" tab on that same yellow square.
Do what Tog suggests and don't forget to take away the IMG HTML tags.
The results are as above.
As always, it takes some time to get used to new tools and go beyond paradigms.
This picture broadly reminds me how new fears may suddenly disguise things familiar that cause me to hesitate or question what I know. After much angst I finally dropped over that portion of A-Basin’s Zuma cornice like I had dozens of times before...only this time with a bigger rush. Another “lesson” day on the slopes for me
Not really an attempt to submit my single "best" image of the year. More my personal homage to some of the Bears who I was fortunate enough to get to meet and ski with this season. I smiled continuously as I photo-chopped this collage together this morning.
In this image clockwise from upper left on the outer edge:
Harkin Banks and Sleeper
Non Bears Altetha and Patroller Rob
Old Boot & Deliberate1
Clockwise on the inner rim:
The Moose that almost trampled a wayward Bear
Bazzer WITHOUT A HELMET!
In the center:
My buddy Dave making a rather energetic entry into Sundown Bowl at Vail
From my early April ski vacation in the Espace Killy: (more pics at http://www.epicski.com/forum/thread/83805/espace-killy-pics-from-4-6-to-4-11#post_1095628)
On all of these pictures it's so worth it to click on them and then zoom in all the way!
Vail end of season, we had 3 days of powda and I-70 was closed saturday 'til 10 so we had the whole pileup all to ourselves. Yeah, freshies all day long, so no pics of that.
But the last day of the season was sun filled, so the cameras came out. Not many pics of me skiing, but for once my bro got me coming down Campbell's to the SunUp Lift.
Working the corn!
That is an amazing shot with an amazing smile!
Your wish is my command.
Anything else you want?
Somewhere in Kirkwood.
