Skier of the year

The season isn't quite over yet with the epic conditions out west right now, I'm skirting to the west Coast to ski around the Seattle area. They've been getting some great snow right now so I'm stoked for some pow or cement, either will do.

There's been many Bears who seem to travel around hitting Resorts and producing some great trip reports and pictures. Phil Pug, TC, Bob Peters always has some great pics. a few others always seem to hit it just right. Bushwacker also.

There is one who stands out as someone who always seems to enjoy himself reguardless of where he is or what venue he skis. He's always got a smile on his face and just may be the most enjoyable person I've met as well as fun to ski with.

I'm nominating Bumpfreak for 'Skier of the Year" at Epic Ski. Good for you chris.

Seconded with a honorable mention to BPA.  He made many appearances and passed his level III.  Chris and Josh tore it up this year

Another thumbs up from me on BF for skier of the year! Chris is one of those people who just loves to ski pretty much regardless of conditions or gear.............

Smiling and ripping.

Another  for BF!  Anyone who will travel to central PA to ski a very icy Blue Knob gets my vote.

Close second to BWPA.  Josh had tons of fun this year even though he was stuck in Western PA!

Bumpfreak has my vote, great skier and even a better person!

I considered the Bushman and probably had one of the most fun days skiing this year with him.

Poaching some powder runs and bumps with him was definitly fun. He really challenged me. He gets "Smile of the Year" but because of the miles traveled and the epic days skied, it's Bumpfreak hands down.

Phil Pug closed in towards the end with the Steamboat Powdercats and the Montana trek and TC is also in the running for her travels. They could be contenders still.

It's still up in the air.

BW, this is just my vote as of now. I'm sure there are more opinions and many more votes to be cast yet as the Season isn't over yet. I still got some turns to make in Washington in a few days and they have been getting tons of freshies this week.

Phil or you or even VA could still get it for all I know. Tyrone Shoelaces should be mentioned  in there. I'm sure this is just the start of this thread.

Don't forget Jgiddyup...he's perhaps one of the nicest Bears I've skied with and has the patience to wait for me when we all ski together.  I know he hit the Gathering this year and had a thread going for his travels and also made it up to Big Sky.  Always gracious, pleasant, and always up for a run with a rogue Bear or two!

Good choice, I've skied with J. He's in the running.

BF and I spent some time together in the last two years.  He is a blast.

BW is an ambassador of the sport and keeps us laughing and thinking here.

Jgiddyup is always trying to connect with Bears no matter where he heads to and takes some pretty good pics and is guilty of extensive trip reporting.

If Faisal had his camera out like he used to,  I'd vote for him.

BUT

I think it has to be Bob Peters.  He keeps us entertained here year round with his camera and with that we get a brief glimpse of the active outdoor life the guy leads.  He's no kid, but sure runs around like one when he's not climbing some cliff in Jackson.  He graciously guided Bears all over the place (in and out of bounds) at Jackson during this years Gathering.  He moderates here which takes time that is voluntary.

Heck, he had his own "tribute to Bob" thread here awhile back. My vote goes to Bob.

Bob Peters certainly deserves nomination.

So do you UL.

Did anyone log more miles, or ski as many different venues, in as many different areas, with as many different Bears than Bumpfreak?
