Just think how good the kid in the tdk6 video would be if he had the opportunity to ski a few days with your friend Dan, that was some great shots he was doing, but he was definately well balanced and overall alot safer to himself than the kid was . Kids pick things up really fast, they just need a good role model , they watch and try what they see. No matter if its ripping groomer zoomers, bumps, trees, off-piste, park and pipe finding a mentor who does it better than you and trying to play up a level or two one can only get better. The little kid looks like he is trying a few levels beyond his ability but again got to love the spirit of what he is trying.
I agree.......it the way I was.....heck was a fairly decent skier when I was 19 and I took multiple lessons with one older guy......who I still ski with once a week when the season is in swing. I am now 22 and those lessons helped me get over my "brick wall" in learning. I found that those PSIA "Clinical style lessons" helped me with everything. Skiing is about the basics......work on the basics and your entire skiing ability will improve......needless to say....he who is 52 and myself 22 still enjoy making some turns together.
