We would have been partying today had it not been for those darn missionaries...so make sure you lift a glass and toast the new year this evening

Um, not sure what Celts celebrate today, but the Celtic new year is traditionally around the 1st of November. That's when Samhain is celebrated.

Yep, WTFH is correct.  Samhain isn't till Nov 1.

Well, the Celtics are hoping to have Kevin Garnett back in a few weeks when the playoffs start.  Still, they have clinched the division so they are poised to make their run to repeat as champs.

Maybe you should check out what Samhain is on Wikipedia...Meanwhile, Happy Celtic New Year!

 

Also, for you Samhain afficionados....explain to me the origins of "April Fool's Day"
