Thank God March is over!

I've been completely sidelined for almost a month. First, 4 of the 5 members of our family had a particularly vicious version of the flu, knocking me out of commission for more than 2 weeks. Then, after a decade-long battle, my wife Terry's dad succumbed to Alzheimer's disease a week ago Friday.

It's a hellish disease. It stole him from us long ago. It's still not easy to say good-bye.

I'm grateful for those who have been so understanding. Thank you. And thank God March is over!

Hey Steve!  Sorry it's been such a rough one.  And yeah, Alzheimer's is so hard.  That's the way my mom went.  It's a heartbreaker in so many levels.

Take care, heal quick.

Sorry to hear about your loss, that is tough to go through.  Alzheimer's is especially rough on the family.

Now get back in action here so we can resume bugging you about site issues .

SSH;

Sorry for the loss, but glad the suffering is over.

Now go skiing if you can.

Steve, I'm so sorry for your loss. One of the hardest parts of losing my mother to cancer last year was to assume responsibility for my step-fathers care and never realizing how far the Alzheimer's had progressed. We are still on the journey that you have completed. Fortunately for us he has provided well for his retirement and can afford the full time care he requires. That really does ease the stress.

I wish for you the best, get out and enjoy what is left of the season.

Steve,

Sorry to hear about the difficult times.

Hope you can make a few turns before the season closes.

Glad you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, Steve.  Enjoy some of Summit's April snowshowers.

Thank you so much!

We (the family) have been able to get out a couple of times this week. Today, I even got to take a run up Sierra and sample some of the pow that so many of you have been enjoying. It was... therapeutic.

I am grateful for my family and my friends. Thank you for being among them.

I may even get to ski a few more times in the next couple of weeks... at least, that's my hope!

Unfortunately, April, May, June, and July have continued the trend. They've been really tough. I'm looking forward to skiing... The break from the insanity will be welcome. Blessings to all... I hope things are going much better with you!

Steve I wish it was better for you and maybe time will smooth things over a bit. I've been challenged by life for the last half year and sometimes it's easy to overlook the good and the beautiful we find on this difficult path life takes us. I know you share love  with so many but maybe you need to let love lift you sometimes. It's there in your family and friends.
I wish you well.

Glad your business is going well, Steve. As they say about birthdays, sure beats the alternative!

Thank you, GarryZ... That is exceptionally kind of you, and your encouragement is a validation of the sense I've been getting. Thanks, again.

Thanks, Nolo. It's more a scramblin' time, but it all has a Purpose, I know. Sometimes, it's not easy making my way through it to the other side.

Blessings to you and yours...
